Since 2020, churches across Leavenworth County have joined together to plant the gospel in our cities.
For Lent 2027 — February 14 to March 28 — we're following Jesus through the Gospel of Luke, where He used meals for His Kingdom purpose, and inviting our neighbors to the table.

What Unites Us
We are United as One
on these truths:
Jesus is Lord.
Scripture is God's Word, and it guides our beliefs and our actions.
The Church is the Family of God.
Our purpose is to collaborate together:
To foster unity among the Church of Jesus Christ in Leavenworth County (John 17),
To Unite on Christ's mission to expand God's Kingdom (Matthew 28:18–20),
And serve together (Matthew 5:16).

Meals in Homes
Equip and inspire your congregation to host meals in their homes. Cast the vision for how powerful it is to share a meal with someone far from God. A shared table embodies the gospel, and through hospitality we can build deeper relationships that may lead to sharing the truth of the gospel itself.
Joint Church Community Dinners
Host a joint church community dinner or event, or invite your congregation to join one hosted by another church. Churches may host a dinner on their own property to build relationships around the table of hospitality. Dates to be determined by the churches who choose to host.
Night of Worship and Prayer with Bites and Delights Potluck
Sunday, February 28, 2027, at 6:00 p.m.
Invite your whole church to come together with the Church of Leavenworth County for a night of corporate worship — singing and guided prayer as one body. After the service, we will share a potluck of appetizers and desserts brought by those who attend. Location to be announced.

WHY COME TOGETHER?
We believe that when the church is united as one, Jesus will be the light and bring life to those in our county.
In John 17:20-21, Jesus prayed that all who believe will be one, just as He and The Father are one. The purpose was so that all may know that God has sent Jesus.
When those who believe in Jesus set aside our differences and unite as one the good news of Jesus is seen as good. Our faith will point to our hope in the love of Jesus shown toward us.
We want to come together and present the unified message of Jesus to our communities and neighborhoods.
We will come together to share the light and life of Jesus with the people of our county.
We will glorify Jesus, by gathering in His name, loving each other, praying for each other, and joining together on this mission we share to be the light in a dark world.
We will bring the light of Jesus into our cities by being a light for Jesus.
United As One is a collaboration of churches within Leavenworth County who gather annually for prayer, worship, and fellowship to serve Leavenworth County for Jesus Christ.
